Habitat Description:
From moderately moist or dry montane meadows to alpine fell fields and meadows. Common on meadow borders or on drier openly timbered slopes, Transition Canadian Zones.
Distribution Range:
West cordillera from south Alaska and Yukon south through Washington, Idaho, and Montana to the central Sierra Nevada and adjacent Basin Ranges of California and west Nevada, northeast Nevada, Utah, and Colorado. Southern Alaska to eastern Washington and Oregon, and east to Wyoming and southern Colorado.
