Distribution Range:
Known only from the type collection from Montezuma County. Mancos, Montesuma County, Colorado, Upper Sonoran Zone.
Other Notes:
Apparently very infrequent as indicated by its absence from the many collections made near the type locality in recent years. Its nearest relative is stated to be P. auriberbis Pennell, of the eastern slope.
