Mt. Shasta south through the higher Sierra Nevada to Tulare County, and in the Carson Range of west Nevada; entering our region in the Virginia Mts. (first big canyon northwest of Virginia City, Storey County, Nevada). Type locality: Mt. St. Joseph's.
