Other Notes:

Payson (Univ. Wyoming Publ. Sci., Bot. 1: 99. 1924) pointed out the closeness between P. cleburnei and P. eriantherus, with intermediate forms in Carbon Co., Wyoming. The two may eventually be recognized as varieties under P. eriantherus.
