Habitat Description:
Mostly of sandy areas.
Distribution Range:
North Dakota and eastern Montana, southward to northern New Mexico. In Colorado, from Sedgewick to Larimer Counties and then southward at the base of the mountains to northern New Mexico; apparently very infrequent in the southernmost counties.

Mostly sands and sandy soils.

Other Notes:
None of the specimens examined appear to check with the description in all points. It is believed that only field studies will serve adequately to distinguish between this and the two proposed subspecies of P. angustifolius.
