Habitat Description: 
From moderately moist or dry montane meadows to alpine fell fields and meadows.
Distribution Range: 
Northeast Oregon (and Steens Mountain), north California, south to Mono County and in the Toquima Range, Nye County, Nevada Alpine peaks of the Wallowa Mountains, Oregon, of the Marble Mountains and Mount Eddy and of the central Sierra Nevada, California, and of the Mount Rose region, Nevada.
