Habitat Description:

Prairies and open woods. Open woodland or prairie.

Distribution Range:

Southeast of Bokchito, Bryan County, northeast of Lamar County, Texas. Osage Plains of Oklahoma. Sapulpa, Creek County Oklahoma.

Soil Type:

Sandy or type, dry soils.

Other Notes:

Pesnstemon oklahomensis differs from P. laxiflorus, the other species of the Graciles occurring in Oklahoma, by the corolla being yellowish-white, unlined and with orifice closed by the lower lip, by larger flowers and heavier inflorescence, and by herbage drying paler.
