Habitat Description: 
Open sterile white-oak hillside, on the Forest Reserve, Henryville, Clark County, Indiana. Sterile or clay white-oak woods or fields, southern Indiana and south-eastern Illinois.
Distribution Range: 
Apparently occurring in two small areas: extreme southern Indiana between the Ohio and Blue rivers, and near the Wabash River in Wabash Co., Illinois.
Soil Type: 
Sterile or clay soils.
