Habitat Description: 
The species as a whole is found associated with creosote-bush on outwash fans and plains.
Distribution Range: 
Southern Nevada and northwestern Arizona.

Other Notes: 

"The Arizona plant is subsp. roseus Clokey & Keck. The typical phase of the species has essentially white flowers, and has been found only in Clark County, Nevada." - Keck, 1955. Variety bicolor occurs on limestone outcrops in addition to limestone-derived soils, and can have a creamy whitish-yellow or pale rose flowers. Often the two forms co-occur.
